The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Friday said that India has evacuated all its citizens from Syria. People who returned to India on Saturday recalled the scene of terror that they had seen in Syria. People who have returned to India have also praised the Indian Embassy for being in constant touch. Soon after landing at Delhi airport late in the evening, some people shared their experiences of the past week with the media. President Bashar al-Assad’s government in Syria fell on Sunday after rebels captured several key cities and towns. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has confirmed the evacuation of 77 Indian citizens from Syria. Of them, 44 Indians stranded in the country had gone there to visit, while the remaining 33 were Indians living or working there.
