The second season of the series “Rehearsal” was released at HBO – a show, where comedian Naitan Fielder solves his own and other people’s problems, playing life situations with actors. It turns out funny and instructive. The first season was about domestic difficulties, and in the second, Philder applies his method to a situation where bets are much higher: to piloting aircraft. Journalist Ilya Inozemtsev tells how Fielder changes our idea of the comedy and the profession of a comedian, blurring the border between art and life. An two of the pilot crash in the simulator. In the focus of the camera is a man with a light gray, who is inquisitively looking into the cabin on a flaming background of disaster. “More than 10 minutes have passed since the beginning of the series, and we still have not had a single joke,” says Naitan Fielder, the creator and main actor of “rehearsal”, which is actually declared HBO as a comedy. On this paradox, the series is being built. If you try to retell the plot of “rehearsals”, then this is a documentary study of the influence of role -playing games or staging on a normal life. It still does not sound very funny, but it is the marginal seriousness of Fielder that turns a rehearsal into a masterpiece of grotesque humor. In the beginning of the first season of “Reptia”, Fielder helped a Quiz lover to admit his one -man, who did not finish his studies to a master’s degree and stopped only at the basement. A small detail of the biography, but extremely important for the bark, and therefore it is important for him to rehearse the moment of recognition with Fielder. The latter, in turn, uses the method of such role -playing games to make life decisions and even plays its first meeting with the bark in advance with a hired actor in a specially built pavilion for this. The finale of the first series can even confuse the viewer, where the same filder leads an important emotional dialogue with the bark, but then it turns out that this is an actor. Next, the reception of “rehearsal” is repeated in new situations, while a through the story is staging life with the child along with the pious girl of Angeloy and Fielder himself. Since the staging takes place in the concise version, their colleagues are replaced by their colleagues three years older between the scenes of children, and the “parents” themselves are a special mirror with age filters. It all gets that one of the actors seriously considers and calls Fielder a dad, and he recognizes that such documentary show was not worth it. He also comes to this conclusion through a staging of a conversation with his pseudosyn. If the first season of “rehearsals” studied relations between people in household situations, the second becomes larger in choosing the topic. In the very first five minutes, Naitan Fielder shares the theory that many plane crashes could be avoided if the second pilots were more persistent in communication with the captain. Fielder makes such a conclusion on the basis of read decryptions from “black boxes” – the second pilots often noticed mistakes that were ignored and led to tragedies. Behind solving the problem, Fielder comes to John Golia, a former member of the National Security Council on Transport, an American agency that is investigated by the circumstances of the car accident. Fielder says that he has resources and means to conduct role -playing games in order to exclude such cases. Then there are a show of talents, a bar from the first season, a staging of childhood, adolescence and youth, who put Sallers Sallenberger on Hudson Sallers. The climax in the final-Naitan Fielder himself makes a flight on Boeing as a captain. To understand the creative method of Fielder, it would be nice to understand something about himself. Back in February, before the trailer for the new season, Reddit shared his find: it turned out that Naitan Fielder received a pilot’s license with a permit for piloting large passenger liners, including 737 Boeing models, which, by air standards, is quite prestigious due to at least necessary for certificate. And again, the paradox, the public image of Naitan Fielder, the actor and the author of the comedy show, does not fit with the image of an experienced and serious pilot. And it turns out that it is very difficult to describe the humor of such situations, this is all embedded in the sincere reactions of the heroes, although it is sometimes difficult for the viewer to distinguish reality from “rehearsal”. By the way, this, by the way, is favorably different from “be a jury”, another documentary (or still reality) show, where the protagonist Ronald, not knowing that there are actors and scenery around him, participates in a fictitious trial. “To be a jury” came out a year after the “rehearsal” and, although the topics are similar, more conventional and understandable to the mass viewer, because they show the border of fiction. Naitan Fielder with a “rehearsal” is much more difficult, and it has to be compared with deeper examples. One of Fielder’s co -authors, Aeck John Benjamin, says that Naitan looks like Stanley Milgram. The experiments of the latter in the 1960s were supposed to find out whether ordinary people would hurt others if they were ordered by the figure of power. In his interview, Fielder himself also refers to this experiment, mentioning, however, British and illusionist Derren Brown, who in the 2006 television film “robbery” conducts similar experience, and then forces the wards to participate in the robbery. The staging, of course. The likely preparation of human nature came to Fielder during the time of his work on the reality show in the early 2000s, where he worked as a younger producer. And the reality genre itself has become a source and the main inspiration for “rehearsal”. Here you can recall the recent acting of Fielder in the series “Curse” with Emma Stone, where falsity and cynicism are considered from the other, the game side. Both works are echoing from Jean Bodriyar, and with the very idea of simulating that our world around us has lost reality. There are references in the “rehearsal” and easier, which, however, still fall in the simulation of Naitan Fielder’s inner world. For example, the main plot seemed to migrate from Sinecdokhi, New York Charlie Kaufman, where the main character built a New York model for his play. And in the new season, in episodes about the childhood of Sallenberger’s pilot, you can see hyperbolization techniques, as in the films of Michel Gondri, whose co -author performed the same Kaufman. Father moves on the stilts, Fielder himself plays a baby in the image of Sally, all this resembles the “eternal radiance of pure mind” and the “science of sleep” by the French director. There are simple jokes-there is a hilarious episode when Fielder admits that Sallenberger was listened and inspired Life »EvanesCens or when he recreates the Paramount streaming office in the style of the Third Reich. But, at the same time, perhaps Fielder is the real of modern comedians. He exploits his image, while remaining completely sincere. The audience realizes, feels that this is a game of the public, but in the case of Philder, everyone is more likely to ask the question, but where is it true? And there is an answer to this in the “rehearsal” – after Fielder complains about the lack of jokes in the first series, a scene about a clown that needs urgent medical care is played out.
