Deutsche Bahn (DB) has announced that it can reverse its cancellation conditions changed at the end of 2024 for flex price tickets. The cancellation should be free of charge from June 15th until a day before the first day of validity, as DB announced on Wednesday. In the meantime, the return was only possible up to eight days before the start of the journey without a fee. From mid -June, there should also be particularly cheap offers for each target group. According to DB, cancellation conditions will be turned back permanently on multiple customer requirements. With the change of timetable in December 2024, a fee of ten euros was due for the return of a flex price ticket after the eighth day before the start of the trip. There had been criticism from the Pro Bahn passenger association, for example. Now the role follows backwards. Hohe exposure on public holidays is expected from June 15th there will be a discount for flex price tickets if they are bought more than 28 days before departure. Customers should save 20 percent compared to a booking on the day of departure. Fahr notes for short distances with a distance of around 100 kilometers should be available from 6.99 euros from mid -June. With a BahnCard, the price drops to 5.24 euros for short trips, as the DB announced. In addition, there are other discounts and offers for young travelers under the age of 27, senior citizens and commuters. Owners of a BahnCard 50 can also take a fellow traveler for the same conditions by September 30th. Both travelers then receive a 50 percent discount on all flex prices and 25 percent on austerity prices. From Frankfurt am Main to Munich, around 120 euros can be saved, according to the railway, and the train awaits well -lined trains about the coming holidays. According to the company, the bookings on Ascension Day on May 29 are nine percent above the previous year, for Pentecost the DB recorded four percent more bookings. A particularly large number of travelers are expected between metropolises, for example on the routes from Frankfurt to Munich or from Hamburg to Berlin.
