India: Baby’s spirits, new path for water availability

29 -year -old baby, resident of this village, has been a victim of foot disability since birth. When the Jal Jeevan Mission started in the village, Baby also joined this campaign and took the initiative to solve the water problem.

In the year 2019, she pledged that she will not marry till the water reaches every house in the entire village. She became part of the Water Investigation Committee and went to every locality of the village with full enthusiasm and started to ensure that no family would be deprived of safe drinking water. The baby, along with the team of UNOPS, explained to people from house to house to stop waste of water and monitoring the quality of water through water-defense. On getting bacteria in the water, the villagers were immediately suggested by warning the villagers, saying, “Due to lack of water, our village girls were deprived of education. I want every daughter of the village to educate and fulfill their dreams.”
