India: WHO’s expert help to protect against polio in Maha Kumbh

Crores of devotees from different places around the world including India have taken a holy bath in the Mahakumbh held in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. In January and February, in this fair lasted for 6 weeks, WHO in India has helped to strengthen polio monitoring with the government to prevent the spread of polio disease.

India is a polio -free country, but since the devotees come from many places, there were also fears of infection spreading. (Video)
