The CDU chairman Friedrich Merz advertises the planned start of the black and red coalition for confidence and the future government program. “Our goal is clear: Germany should become more economically, safer, more fair and more modern,” said future chancellor in a video message at Easter that the CDU published on the Internet. The coalition agreement between the Union and the SPD is the result of hard work, but also a new trust between the democratic forces of the political center, emphasized Merz. “We rely on investments in our industry, on tax relief for medium-sized companies and on a reliable energy supply. And we make our country safer-internally and externally.” The CDU chairman recalled the Easter message, which is particularly topical this year: “After dark days, the light comes.” The challenges are very large economical, socially and geopolitically. “Nevertheless, there is reason to hope. It is up to us to shape the future.” Germany wanted to take responsibility in Europe and the world – not loud, but reliable and not arrogant, but in partnership. In the three -minute speech, Merzi appealed to the “dear fellow citizens”, politics alone could not create confidence. “It depends on everyone.” Germany needs more and less distrust again. “We can all help to make a better mood in our country – with trust, respect and the will, to move together.”
