The electoral results of this weekend in Portugal, Poland and Romania confirm the turn to the right and towards the most conservative positions of the electorate. The progressive forces are losing support after choice in a constant tendency, as the latest results have also reflected in France, Germany, the European of June last year or the victory of Republican Donald Trump in the United States. The British, who for something lead in the opposite direction, suppose the only exception with the victory of Labor Keir Starmer, but perhaps it was more because of the tremendous mistakes made by the conservatives. There are many theories about this growth of the right -wing vote, but one of the authors that best explain is the analyst Esteban Hernández. We are facing a full -fledged cultural battle. The influence of social networks, where the conservative sectors have invested huge amounts of money, has weight in this deconentation of the vote, but it would be a simplification error to blame the internet. The left needs to find an alternative discourse in which collective values are more appreciated by voters and thus prevent them from being dragged by more individualistic approaches, where grievances and resentment weigh more. The left has to seduce and not act unfriendly as if it were in possession of the truth. The pendulum has turned a lot to the right.
