Will the second Fyre Festival end like the first?

In the same month he already sold tickets for the “Fyre Festival 2”-for $ 499. The only information that interested parties had at this point in time: The new edition should take place on a remote island in the Caribbean at some point at the end of 2024. The date has been postponed several times – but tickets will continue to be sold. It starts at $ 1400 for an “Ignite” ticket, $ 12,500 costs a Phoenix ticket, but at least two of which you have to buy. A “Prometheus” ticket for $ 1,100,000 is offered on the website, but after several forwarding to other websites, it cannot be bought. McFarland claims that it was actually bought once in October 2024. “The Prometheus ticket brings you pretty close to the sun,” said McFarland cryptically in an Instagram video. What he meant was unclear. The owners of this ticket would be overnight in their own yacht. At the end of February there is obviously a final date-just like the place: From May 30th to June 2, the festival on the Isla Mujeres, a small island off the east coast of Mexico near the city of Cancún. expected, is questionable. The musician and the former football player Andrew Brown said “TMZ Sports” that he was booked for the Fyre Festival 2. But there is no official line-up so far. At the end of February, McFarland said in the American “Today Show” that he wanted to organize one of the first festivals, “which are sold out without announced music acts”. Two hotels – the IZLA Hotel and the Grand Fiesta Americana – were initially listed online as bookable accommodations. In the meantime, they have disappeared from the Fyre Festival website. If you enter the coordinates for the festival at Google Maps, you actually end up not far from the Isla Mujeres, where the festival should also take place-although not at a specific location on the island, but in the sea. The authorities of the island have apparently not noticed anything from McFarland’s endeavors. Edgar Gasca from the local tourism directorate told the British newspaper “The Guardian” that you know nothing about the festival and have not been in contact with any person: “This event does not exist for us.” He was surprised, after all, every organizer knew that official permits are necessary. “There will be cheese bread again” McFarland replied to critical reporting with an Instagram video. In it he says: “The story was twisted.” The Fyre Festival is real. There are booked music acts and his team organized accommodations. But clear information and evidence cannot be found for these claims, on the contrary: McFarland reacts vague and evasively in interviews. “TMZ-Live” he said that he wanted to gather people at the festival “who also understand that life also means leaving the comfort zone and taking a risk”.
