When replacing an existing handle, the screw posts for the handle must be 1-3/4” apart. For new installations, three additional holes are required to be drilled through the door for the screws and spindle. Before drilling, ensure that the inside latch does not interfere with the operation of your main door handle. If it does, raise or lower the storm door hardware.
