The Spanish actress Karla Sofía Gascón will return to the big screen in an Italian production in which she will play a psychiatrist who “embodies God and the devil,” explains Variety magazine, exclusively. The protagonist and Oscar nominated by Emilia Pérez will share screen with Vincent Galle in the project, entitled The Life Lift and who will direct, in her premium opera, Stefania Rosella Grassi. Lee also Gascon thus returns to the screen after the various controversies in which he was wrapped last January, when a series of controversial tweets in which he criticized the Muslim community came to light. The actress confirmed her participation in production while she was in Italy, where she received a tribute at the Long Film Festival in Turin, the oldest LGBTQ+ Film Festival in Europe. This is the second production in which the Spanish has confirmed its participation after the premiere of Emilia Pérez. At the end of 2024 it was announced that Gascón would star in the Fable Trans in Spanish Las Mala, directed by Armando Bó, Oscar winner for co -writing the drama Birdman (2014) by Alejandro González Iñárritu.
