In numerous cities in the United States, demonstrators protested President Donald Trump and his politics. In Washington, thousands of demonstrators pulled on Saturday under the motto “Finger away!” To the National Mall park near the White House, to make their resentment about the Republican and his consultant Elon Musk.

They were wearing signs with inscriptions such as “Not my president!”, “Stop destroying America”, “Shame on Trump”, “Finger Way away from the rule of law” and “Fingers away from social security”. A loose alliance of left-wing groups had called for protests against Trump in numerous US cities. The demonstrators criticize Trump’s action against migrants without a residence permit, the clearing of federal authorities and government programs and the president’s aggressive customs policy. They also accuse him of being able to cave democracy and the rule of law. On Saturday the greatest protests against Trump have been expected since he took office in January. However, far fewer demonstrators were expected than after Trump’s first took office in 2017, when a major million people took part in a major rally in Washington with the title “Women’s March”.
