Donald Trump is considering letting prisoners with US citizenship in detention centers move to El Salvador. When asked about a corresponding offer by the Salvadorian President Nayib Bukele, Trump said: “If you can accommodate these terrible criminals for much less money than it costs us.” But Trump emphasized: “I first have to see what the law says.” He would do nothing that violated the law. In the past few weeks, the US government had started to transfer hundreds of alleged Venezuelan gang members to El Salvador, where they were accommodated in a huge prison. According to Bukeles, Washington pays Washington $ 20,000 annually (around 18,500 euros) to the Latin American country. The conditions in prison are intolerable.
