Already a week before the parliamentary election in Canada, there are first signs of a high turnout. The AFP news agency claims to have taken figures from the Canadian Federal Election Agency on Saturday that more than two million people have already used the opportunity to pose earlier. This corresponds to an increase of 36 percent compared to the last parliamentary election in 2021. The main election date is 28 April. As the AFP reported, long -term lines were formed in front of pollen -up stations in large -scale cities on Friday, several people had reported waiting times of up to two hours. The 60 -year -old Jose Fournier saw a possible reason for the lively participation in the currently extremely tense relationship with the southern neighbor United States since President Donald Trump took office. Fournier said that the faults are “serious”, based on the events in the USA, should be “special” elections. According to youngest surveys, the Liberal Party of Prime Minister Mark Carney and his predecessor Justin Trudeau is 44 percent – before Carney’s conservatives Pierre Poilievre (38 percent).
