In the dispute over the accidental deportation of a man to a prison in El Salvador, the government of US President Donald Trump turned to the Supreme Court shortly before a deadline for returning the migrant. This reported, among other things, the broadcaster ABC and the “Washington Post”. The government thus opposed the decision of a federal judge in the state of Maryland, who had ordered Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who comes from El Salvador, to be brought back to the USA by Monday (local time). The Ministry of Justice argued in the urgent application to the Supreme Richter that the judge had exceeded her powers when she ordered the return to the United States. Abrego Garcia is no longer in the custody of the United States, and Washington has no way to get him back. The father belongs to a group of migrants who had recently been flown out of the USA into the Salvadorian high -security prison Cecot – presumably despite a different arrangement of a court in Washington. According to US media, Garcia had entered the United States in 2012. His asylum application was rejected in 2019, but at that time he received abdominal protection due to impending persecution in El Salvador. On March 12 of this year he was arrested in Maryland and deported a few days later. In this case, the Trump government has granted an “administrative mistake”-but it is stated by the accusation that Garcia is a member of the gang MS-13.
