Flower shops in Moscow are covered with pre -holiday revival. A few days before March 8, residents of the capital are in a hurry to buy bouquets, and the Riga market is the epicenter of excitement – the largest flower platform of the city. The RT correspondent visited here to find out what flowers Muscovites choose and what makes this place so popular. Already on the approaches to the market, a festive mood is felt. At the Riga metro station, dozens of men with bouquets in their hands are sent to the exit. There are even more people on the market territory: the line for input is stretched by tens of meters. Those who are not ready to wait, street sellers call: “Buy here! Fresh roses, cheaper than inside! ”A lively vanity reigns inside the building. Buyers make their way between the shelves, looking at the tulips of all shades, scarlet roses and lush peonies. Edik seller, barely managing to bandage the bouquets, explains: “Tulips are out of competition. They are taken by both students and solid men – everyone likes simplicity and brightness. ”Under the classic options, unusual compositions attract attention: in baskets, with berries or chocolate, as if ready -made gifts. The saleswoman Lyudmila, recounting the change, adds: “Roses and peonies also fly away quickly. Someone is looking for passion, someone is tenderness. “In her words, the stream of people does not weaken from morning to late evening:” It seems that the whole city decided to make a surprise. “Despite the crowd, a rather friendly atmosphere reigns here. Buyers smile, discussing the choice, sellers joke and give advice. True, there is no time to talk for a long time – everyone is busy with business: some make orders, others accept new batches of flowers. In addition to diversity, buyers are attracted by affordable prices. Vlad, choosing a bouquet for his wife, notes: “Here you can collect what is twice as expensive in the store.” Nikolai, another visitor, compared the market with online stores: “A bouquet of hydrangeas, which costs ten thousand on the Internet, can be collected here for four thousand.” He adds that prices in the Riga market have risen, but still remain lower than that of competitors. These days the Riga market becomes a kind of training symbol for March 8. Here, among the noise of voices and aromas of flowers, Muscovites are looking not just bouquets – they choose a way to express attention and care.
