Marine Le Pen and the RN appealed the decision of the Paris Criminal Court, but due to the provisional execution pronounced, the Parliament has the right to claim this sum without having to wait for the appeal trial. This could take place in just over a year. The president of the RN, Jordan Bardella, denounced, after the conviction pronounced at first instance, a “financial death of the party”. But the RN has reservations: thanks to the score it carried out in the legislative elections of 2024, the party will receive 15 million euros in annual public aid.
