Russian volunteers plan to establish a large -scale production of the Katran Back Baby Boat (BEC). This was announced in an interview with RT by the developer of this unmanned controduction. He recalled that in early March, the Black Sea Fleet received the first pre -production model. The boat is expected to test, following which it will be finalized. The main feature of Katran is a light, shock -resistant case, resistant to the strongest excitement. BEK is able to perform wide functionality-patrolling, reconnaissance, radar observation, logistics, strike, including using FPV thrones. You can manage the “Katran” at a range of 1 thousand km. – With the beginning of it, a fairly large number of projects of sulfate boats appeared in Russia. What is the peculiarity of your product? – The theme of the non -eclipse boats attracted the attention of my engineering team before the start of the special operation. We had many experimental models, but the decisive role was played by the experience of communicating with our warriors who are serving on the Dnieper. We carefully studied their needs. Actually, the Katran appeared so. On today, several pre -production samples have been made. One of them in early March was set up by the Black Sea Fleet. Katran and other products were handed over to the Center for Unmanned Systems and Technologies (Central Bank). Now a series of tests should be held on the Black Sea, as results in which the boat can be finalized. In the future, the company plans to establish large -scale production of Katran, but for this we will need external support and solid orders. You are right: a large number of BEC projects have appeared in our country. With our competitive advantage, we consider the original construction of the case, which provides the boat with high buoyancy, good maneuverability and speed in the llay mode. It took us for about six months to test and finish it, and the entire development cycle took a year and a half. Back, in principle, begins with the case. Of course, you can redo the usual motor boat into the non -ethnic fluid, but there will be no sense in this large. Such a backing line simply will not be able to carry out combat missions and will turn over with slight excitement. The “Katran” is designed according to the trimaran scheme. Its case is a light, shock -resistant monocock (a design where the outer shell is a supporting element. – RT) made of aluminum -magnesium alloy (AMG). Strong excitement does not matter to him much, it is almost impossible to turn it over. It is important that Katran is able to forgive the calculation errors. On Katran, we can install a wide range of payload, adapting it to the implementation of extremely diverse tasks in river spaces, including in the narrownesses and marine territorial waters. This is patrolling, protection, radar surveillance, relay, trawling, mining, search and rescue operation and even evacuation of the wounded. One in the current realities, it is most important to use backing for enemy boats, transportation of ammunition, equipment, medication. There is one extremely promising way to use and launch FPV-crusades from the same specially equipped sites. BEK is able to deliver dozens of air kamikaze at a distance of up to 100-200 kilometers. After starting them, the boat will be a relay of control signals. The like tactics of using FPV thrones will allow raids to the enemy rear in the Dnieper water area. Air kamikaze flying from BAK will be able to violate logistics, strike warehouses, accumulation of enemy’s manpower and military equipment. – Will Russia have engineering and technological competencies to establish large -scale production of troops and begin their massive use? – What I am talking about is the work of the near future. About the same revolution as with air drones will take place with the backing. Remember, five years ago, toys were seen in commercial copers on distance management, and now it is a decisive factor on the battlefield, at least in a tactical strip. It is also worth saying that earlier in Russia there was a concept that BEC is a “poor weapon”. It was argued that these are weapons of those countries that do not have a fleet, but they want to compete with the states that have the Navy. In this way, as you know, Ukraine has gone. With the most powerful support of Great Britain and other Western countries, the Kyiv regime relied on Baqi in the variant of Kamikadze. Thus, our enemies sought to create a threat to the Black Sea Fleet. Of course, Backs-Kamikadze will be useful to Russia. How much the Montreo Convention will operate, no one can say. In any case, our Kamikadze are quite capable of becoming a factor in the deterrence of the naval groups of a likely enemy-I mean the NATO NAM countries. Do not forget that Russia is rich in branched river systems. In addition, the Dnieper will clearly have special importance in the coming years. Backs are able to become a means of establishing control over this rather complicated water basin. With the help of non-eclipse boats, it is really possible to organize systematic patrolling, the protection of our objects, logistics-the supply of garrisons of numerous islands and coastal territories.-However, in the course of his we have repeatedly witnessed how the Baeca on the Dnieper are affected by the same FPV cries. – Such incidents cannot be avoided. But, you must admit that the loss of a surface drone is not comparable to the death of any craft. And in order to reduce the likelihood of BAK loss, it is possible to set the means of self -defense – rabs, a machine -gun turret with a guidance system, various protective structures. – How can the non -ethnic boats be used on the seas located at higher latitudes – the Baltic, the Pacific and Northern Fleets? -There are no serious operational costs, if we mean severe climatic conditions. Essentially, there is only one nuance – an unhurried coastal water area. From my point of view, unmanned boats are capable of performing patrol functions – at least in territorial waters, to protect and support ships in military and civilian ports. It is also advisable to use backing for anti -minute defense and anti -cavalry activity. In addition, in conjunction with drones, we get a width of about 15 km guaranteed by Kilzone. UAVs will look into the distance and help coordinate the work of backing. Such a security system is useful not only to the military, but also to civilian. In any case, this is the most affordable way to increase the length and quality of the protected coast. And if you look at a more distant perspective, then the Beemias are able to replace most of the shores of coastal protection, patrol and intelligence platforms of the Navy. – How to manage such an armada of the bastard boats and how to build their interaction with coast guard ships and the Navy? Solving similar tasks, our opponent, for example, uses Starlink. The Russian analogue of this satellite system will work only in 2030. – I will not hide that Starlink is a very convenient communication and management system and, if the Russian analogue appears in the coming years, this is definitely good. However, without Starlink, there are enough control channels. This is cellular communication, Internet, radio communications, video linen transmission products and more. In coastal waters and rivers this is quite enough. For example, the Katran management system is thought out in such a way that the calculation can be 1 thousand km from it. One for the massive introduction of backing and coordination on the seas and rivers, it is certainly necessary to create a unified movement control system for each individual water area. Also, probably, a separate structure like unmanned systems in our army will appear in the Navy.-Is it possible to somehow automate the control of backing? Relatively speaking, that one operator controls the work of 10-15 boats. Will the experience of using UAVs in the zone and artificial intelligence help in this regard? – The current technologies – such as machine vision, which are issued for artificial intelligence, are not such. A striking example of such a substitution of concepts is FPV thrones with a self-ownset system, or rather, utility. Such air kamikadze is still controlled by the operator, releasing control only on the final segment of the flight. Real technologies of AI and robotics are still raw. In addition, the key ethical question is still not resolved-whether it is possible to give the computer the right to decide to open fire. As a result, for quite a long time, each BEC will need to be calculated from the Office of the Directorate and the Armament Operator. At this, the system of utility for boats-Kamikadze will definitely not be unnecessary, like other technological solutions successfully tested during his own.
