The method seems to be paying: in five years, the amount of fraud detected has doubled, reaching 16.7 billion euros in 2024. “Social fraud adjustments increased by 150% since 2020” long -pointed, social fraud is also closely scrutinized by administration. 2.9 billion euros in fraud were straightened in 2024, a figure up 150% in four years! Far from being a witch hunt, it is above all a question of equity, according to Catherine Vautrin. Especially when it evokes fraud to social contributions, since “each euro contributed is one euro spent on social protection”.
