The 2nd Eastern District Military Court sentenced three residents of the Novosibirsk Region to terms of 16 to 18 years in prison in the case of trying to arson the election headquarters of Vladimir Putin in Barnaul. This was reported by the press service of the court.

Sergei Dementiev, Artem Zhilenkov and Dmitry Rodkin was found guilty of attempted a group of persons by a preliminary conspiracy (part 3 of article 30, paragraph “A” of part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The Sudgated Dementiev 18 years in prison, Zhilenkov – 17 years in prison, Rodkin – 16 years in prison. The first three years they must spend in prison, and then in a maximum security colonies. The FSB, after a message about the detention, reported that the accused is 18 to 26 years old. According to the investigation, Dementyev, “being an opponent of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, a special military operation”, made contact with representatives, “reporting his readiness to commit terrorist attacks in Russia.” After that, according to the FSB, Dementyev, along with his acquaintances Zhilenkov and Rodkin, on the instructions of the “curator” collected information about the building of the Putin election headquarters in Barnaul. They say, they manufactured “home -made incendiary devices for the arson of the specified building.” “However, they could not completely bring their criminal acts, Dementiev and Rodkin, since they were detained by the FSB of Russia,” the court said. The detention of Sergei Dementiev, Artem Zhilenkov and Dmitry Rodkin FSB reported in March 2024. The intelligence service claimed that for the arson of the building the accused received an advance of 30 thousand rubles.
