The Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Selenskyj has once again accused Russia of violations of an agreed energy weapon rest. He expected a “serious demonstration of sanction steps” from the United States, said Selenskyj at a press conference with Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock (Bündnis 90/Die Grünen) in Kiev. “I think we have reached the point for tightening the sanctions, because I think the Russians violate what they promised America,” said Selenskyj. He hoped that US President Donald Trump has enough influencing instruments. The country undertook not to shoot “with rockets on energy systems”. Moscow in turn claims to adhere to the agreement and accuses Kiev of further bombing Russian energy infrastructure. Trump had threatened the Kremlin with new punitive measures in the oil area when Moscow refused to do an armistice with Kiev. According to the Kremlin, an agreement conveyed by Washington about the mutual waiver of attacks against energy systems has been in effect since March 18.
