Just a month before the FBI’s move, Delhi Police arrested Vikas Yadav in a kidnapping and extortion case. He was granted bail after spending four months in jail. America’s FBI has put Vikas Yadav in the wanted list. US police allege that Vikas Yadav was working in the Cabinet Secretariat of the Government of India, which is a part of the Indian Prime Minister’s Office. The Indian Foreign Ministry has already made it clear that Vikas Yadav is no longer an employee of the Government of India. He will not be present even through video conferencing. Accusing the Delhi Police of implicating him in a false case, he said that his life is in danger. This is because his photographs and home address are in the public domain. Vikas told the court that due to threats he could not attend the hearing even through video conferencing. This is because there is a possibility that their location can be tracked.
