The new customs duties promised by the White House have entered into force, causing an earthquake in the world economy which is felt even in the Outremers. An ultra-Marin French territory is particularly targeted by these new taxes: the small archipelago of Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, off the coast of Canada, is imposed on customs of 50 %, among the highest in the world.
